Glioblastoma (GBM) is one of the most aggressive and heterogeneous forms of brain tumour. Currently conventional MRI methods fail to accurately detect regions of tumour cell invasion. Our research focuses on assessing multiple MRI techniques as biomarkers of low tumour infiltration regions.
This we undertake using a mouse GBM model and validating by quantitative co-registered histology (Ki67 staining). ASL and DW-ASL techniques were shown to identify regions of low tumour cell density that were not detected by conventional techniques.
