Contrast agent development

Contrast agent development

Dynamic contrast enhanced magnetic resonance imaging is a powerful technique for in-vivo imaging of tumours. The time course of the distribution of a contrast agent is an elegant way of characterising barriers to the delivery of drugs within a tumour.

Time series showing the distribution of Contrast agent in female CD-1 nude mice bearing subcutaneous PC3-Luc (prostate carcinoma) xenograft.

Scan parameters: T1-SE, TE:10ms, TR:100ms, resolution 250x250x1000um
